Bio-Fertilizers

Phosphate Solubilising Bacteria (PSB)

Product Information

  • Product Type: Biological Fertilizer (Microbial Inoculant)
  • Nature: PSB contains microorganisms that convert insoluble Phosphorus in the soil into a soluble form, making it accessible to plants.
  • Purpose: Helps mobilize nutrients, especially Phosphorus, from insoluble forms to soluble forms, increasing crop productivity.
  • Availability: Available in various pack sizes: 5 L, 2L,1L , 500 ML, and 250 ML.

Composition

  • Active Microorganisms:
    • Bacillus megaterium var. phosphaticum
    • Bacillus subtilis
    • Bacillus circulans
    • Pseudomonas striata
    • Fungi: Penicillium sp., Aspergillus awamori
  • Function: PSB works through Phosphate solubilization, where microorganisms break down insoluble Phosphorus compounds into soluble forms that plants can absorb. One milliliter contains around 100 million living bacteria.

Use &Methods of Application

Seed Treatment

Seed Treatment

  • Take 250 ml of liquid Bio-fertilizer.
  • Make a solution in 2-3 liters of water.
  • Mix slowly by hand with 50-60 kg of seed to ensure homogeneous layer.
  • Dry under a shed.
  • Sow seeds as early as possible.

Root Treatment

Root Treatment

  • Take 250 ml liquid Bio-fertilizer.
  • Make a solution in 4-5 liters of water.
  • Dip required seedlings for one acre in the solution for 20-30 minutes.
  • Transplant treated seedlings as early as possible.
  •

Soil Treatment

Soil Treatment

  • Mix 300-400 ml liquid bio-fertilizer well with 50-100 kg of soil, sand, or APNA KHAAD Oragnic Manure.
  • Spread this mixture homogeneously in the field before the last plowing or 24 hours before sowing
  •

Benefits

  • Increased Phosphorus Availability: 30-35% of typical phosphate fertilizers are often inactive, and PSB helps activate them.
  • Increased Crop Yield: PSB application can result in a 10-20% increase in crop yield.
  • Reduced Fertilizer Requirements: By solubilizing Phosphorus already in the soil, PSB reduces the need for additional Phosphatic fertilizers, saving up to 20 -25%.
  • Improved Plant Health: Enhances overall plant health by increasing nutrient availability.
  • Broad Applicability: Suitable for cereals, vegetables, fruits, and flowers.
  • Soil Environment Enhancement: Promotes beneficial microorganisms, improving soil structure and fertility.
